Hi everybody,

Tonight I wanted to write about four names that I think could offer opportunity next year from an M&A standpoint. Overall the Kelt transaction caught my eye this month given the large amount of shares purchased by David Wilson after the string of Alberta Montney deals, including the latest from Paramount-Ovintiv. Wilson is likely nearing retirement and Kelt does not pay dividends so there is no getting paid to wait. In real estate, we are seeing transaction liquidity pick-up and some interest come back to the sector from largest investors who are trying to buy the bottom. We started the year seeing M&A deals such as Tricon Residential before it went cold. Recent conference calls have cited Canada as a target for publicly traded real estate M&A from companies such as Blackstone and Prologis. In a nutshell, I believe all four of these names mentioned below could be gone next year with M&A transactions.
